AKPS is proud to be supporting Mars Petcare in the delivery of its ground-breaking Solar Thermal Plant at Wodonga—the first deployment of parabolic trough Concentrated Solar Thermal (CST) technology in the Australian market. This $40M million initiative will help Mars to transition its pet food manufacturing facility to a 100% renewable energy facility.
AKPS’s role has been pivotal across the procurement, approvals, and design phases, ensuring the project’s technical complexity and regulatory requirements are met while maintaining alignment with Mars’ global sustainability objectives.
A critical element of this project is the integration of first-of-type renewable technology into a live, brownfield production facility—a challenge that requires careful planning, detailed design management, and close stakeholder management.
With the project still underway, AKPS continues to provide expert guidance to support the successful deployment of this first-of-its-kind project.
